Guidelines for Donating Items to Basin Games
Dropping items in games is generous and welcomed by many. If you wish to donate items, please do so, but
also note that some players may not need the items, or may find entering and dropping items disruptive to the game.
You are therefore asked to observe the following guidelines:
- Please ask those in the game if they want any items. Don’t drop anything if it is not wanted, or if
someone asks you not to do so.
- Try to restrict drops to Act 1 normal, as people in normal games usually have a greater interest, and
this will give every player in the game access to the items.
- Drop items in a place seperate from the items found during play, for instance at Gheed's place, and
make it clear to the players in the game where you dropped your gifts.
- Never empty an entire mule account into a game. Organize a flea market game instead.
- Please limit the number of visits to a reasonable amount, and stay away from peak hours, when games
are usually very busy.
For the players already in the game:
- If you feel uneasy about people entering games you play in to donate items, please speak up. Players
donate items to please you, so tell them if you're not pleased.
- All items dropped in a game become subject to the Amazon Basin's custom on item distribution. All
players in the game, regardless of act, are entitled to voice interest in any items.
Glossary
The Basin maintains a Glossary of Basin D2 Terms. The
following term is particularly relevant to this document:
- Dropping (of
items): The act of entering a game to present
any player in that game with items as freely given gifts, to be distributed among the players in the
game as they see fit.
