Policy on Item Transfers in Basin GamesTransferring items in open AB games is a privilege granted by other players in that game, not a right. Transferring may be perceived as a problem by other players, as frequent leaving and entering can be annoying and may cause lag. Please note the general consensus is that one should not enter an open AB game with the sole purpose of transferring items. You are encouraged to use a private (non-WT-PW’ed) game to transfer items between your characters. A short guide on how to create and use a mulegame is available if you’re not sure how to transfer items by yourself. In a separate page we give guidelines for when and how to drop items in a Basin game, if you choose to do so. If you wish to transfer in an open AB game with characters not currently in the game, you are required to:
Notes and ExplanationsTransferring means the interchange of items between characters, which includes activities currently referred to as muling, twinking and storing. A transfer will always mean leaving or entering the game. Open AB games means any game which is protected by the Weaseltech password. Closed AB groups are free to make their own rules on transferring, but are asked not to use the Basin password if they do. All transferring is done is at your own risk. You are recommended not to transfer in full games or unstable battle.net conditions. Please say no to transferring if it bothers you, as an annoyance, disturbance, or security problem. Please report violations of this rule to the AB administration. Transferring without permission is considered a serious offence. It will be subjected to the same ramifications as other serious offences, up to and including banning for repeated occurrences.
