Blade Traps

Blade arrows are traps down the right of the Traps skill tree. Like all traps, blade trap skills are situational in that every skill has its uses, strengths and weakness. Blade traps deserve some special attention for two reasons: they are dependent on the physical and elemental damage of your assassin's primary katar and they are capable of transmitting the following effects:

Because of these special properties, blade traps do not receive nor give synergies to any other skills.

Blade Sentinel (varies)

Clvl: 6
Prerequisites: None.
Effect: Set a spinning blade to patrol between you and target point.
Properties: Can be blocked, dodged, works with all forms of non-elemental damage, transmits physical and elemental damage, always hits, can be resisted/negated via physical resistance/immunity.
Synergy from: None.
Synergy to: None.

Blade Fury (varies)

Clvl: 18
Prerequisites: Fire Blast, Blade Sentinel, Wake of Fire.
Effect: Throw spinning blades to slice up your enemies.
Properties: Can be blocked, dodged, works with all forms of non-elemental damage, transmits physical and elemental damage, can be resisted/negated via physical resistance/immunity.

According to RogueMage's Blade Fury Guide, here's what Blade Fury does in a nutshell:

Blade Fury acts in every respect like a ranged weapon. This means that its Crushing Blow damage is half that of a melee weapon...

Blade Fury's 25% reduction in your weapon's total damage works exactly like Strafe and Multiple Shot. It has the same effect on both physical damage and elemental weapon damage. It does not, however, reduce the duration of poison, chill, or freeze effects.

Blade Shield (varies)

Clvl: 30
Prerequisites: Fire Blast, Blade Sentinel, Wake of Fire, Blade Fury.
Effect: Spinning blades slice enemies who stray too close.
Properties: Can be blocked, dodged, works with all forms of non-elemental damage, transmits physical and elemental damage, always hits, can be resisted/negated via physical resistance/immunity.
