Faster Hit Recovery

Faster hit recovery (FHR) comes into play when a target (monster or player) is struck by a successful attack that causes any type of damage greater than 1/12 of the target's maximum life. When this happens, the target (in this instance, your character) goes into a "hit recovery" animation. When your character is forced into this state, she can't make any other kind of movement until that animation is over. She can be forced into another hit recovery animation during hit recovery by a mob of monsters. This is known as "stun lock," which is especially dangerous for the bowazon since they don't have shields to protect them and non-HC bowazons usually have low hit points in comparison to other warriors. This is where FHR comes in.

Items that give FHR will help your character escape by reducing the number of frames of animation that make up the hit recovery phase. The faster you recover, the faster you get out of hit recovery, and the less chance you'll get caught in stun lock. The amazon's recovery rate after hit stun is six frames without FHR equipment; amazons benefit immediately and significantly from FHR:

Where can I get Faster Hit Recovery?

Equipment:
Rare armor, boots, helms, gloves: +10% FHR. (Rare items include magical items.)
Rare belts and body armor: +17% FHR.
Rare belts and body armor: +24% FHR.
Various unique, set, and rune word items give varying amounts of FHR.
Sockets:
Rare jewels of truth: +7% FHR.
Shael rune: +20% FHR when socketed in helms and armor.
Charms:
Small charms: 5% FHR as a suffix.
Large charms: 8% FHR as a suffix.
Grand charms: 12% FHR as a suffix.

FHR has no effect on D/A/E's animation, which takes up eight frames.
