"Slain Monsters Rest in Peace" is a double-edged sword. According to Arreat Summit:
"Slain Monsters Rest in Peace" means that the bodies can't be resurrected or they can't be used to raise skeletons (Necromancer). They can't be used for Corpse Explosion either. It will work only if you kill the enemy with a physical damage and not magical damage.

Essentially, this means that your bowazon shouldn't wear RIP equipment when it's not needed or when it would actually be a detriment. Specific cases include when you're partied with a necromancer or assassin (for obvious reasons), paladin (redemption), barbarian (find potion, find item, grim ward), or druid (dire wolf food, vines).
However, RIP equipment is a godsend when your bowazon is alone in areas where Horadric Mummies and the undead are in abundance (as mummies can raise undead faster than you can kill them), places where you don't want to worry about monsters coming back to haunt you (like those undead warriors in Act 5), or most particularly, against Nilithak and his Corpse Explosions (provided his frenzied minions don't blow themselves up first).
