Fire Arrow (one point)

Clvl: 1
Prerequisites: None.
Effect: Enchants an arrow with the additional damage of fire.
Properties: Can be blocked, dodged, doesn't work with Critical/Deadly Strike, does work with Pierce, steals life/mana, elemental portion always hits, can be resisted/negated/absorbed via fire resistance/immunity/absorption.
Synergy from: Exploding Arrow: +12% fire damage/slvl.
Synergy to: Exploding Arrow: +12% fire damage/slvl, Immolation Arrow: +5% average fire damage per second/slvl.

Fire Arrow converts a percentage of your physical damage to fire damage, around ({slvl × 2} + 1)%, then tacks additional fire damage on top of that. This introductory skill will help your bowazon take out some of the beefier monsters in A1 (especially Andariel with her -50% resist to fire).

Here's the interesting thing: Fire Arrow converts your physical damage to elemental damage after all damage modifiers have been added up. For example, all auras are additive to base weapon damage. So if a hireling is packing +200% damage Might, a paladin is packing +300% Concentration and another has a +100% Fanaticism (for party), that's +600% damage. Add that to her +300% from 300 dex, and she now has a +900% damage bonus to physical damage, resulting in ten times the bow's base damage (let's just be crazy and assume she's carrying a non-magical bow). If your Fire Arrow can convert say, 10% of that to fire damage, then it'll take its 10% from all that. Thus, the higher your physical damage, the more effective Fire Arrow becomes.

If Fire Arrow is chosen, an assigned hot key is recommended.
