A PvP-specialized attack and the best skill to use against single strong enemies, Guided Arrow is used as an all-purpose carrier for elemental and non-elemental damage. Guided Arrow increases its damage and decreases its mana cost per skill point. Due to the way Strafe calculates damage, Guided Arrow is also the single most powerful attack the bowazon has at her disposal — just don't use it on large groups and expect it to work like it did in v1.09d because it no longer pierces. (It may look that way on your computer, but the game disregards any Pierce checks from Guided Arrow.) The damage bonus for Guided Arrow basically adds 5 points of "virtual dexterity" for purposes of damage per level; a bowazon with 300 dex (+300% damage) and slvl-2 Guided Arrow (+5% damage) will do exactly the same amount of damage as a bowazon with 205 dexterity (+205% damage) and slvl-21 Guided Arrow (+100% damage).
It is important to note that Guided Arrow travels to wherever you click, then begins its search for an target from that point. It will ignore and not affect anything that it passes through on its way to the place where you clicked. This has interesting repercussions when you have acquired a lock on a fleeing character, as the arrow will travel much farther than its normal range and still be able to hit the target once it arrives. Guided Arrow always hits its target, so long as it isn't blocked or dodged: this is important to remember when your bowazon has to deal with the high mlvls of Hell difficulty.
If Guided Arrow is chosen, an assigned hot key is recommended. Do not use Guided Arrow against a clump of more than ten monsters: it'll target one monster and only one monster. Sure, it might go through a few on the way to your target, but it'll not hit all ten more than once.
