- Can only be cast on normal and minion monsters (with a few exceptions), but Champion, Unique and Boss monsters can attack the confused.
- Target will continue executing its last action prior to its next AI check, then become confused.
- Confused can attack anything, including other confused monsters: nearest target is normally attacked.
- Gain experience from monsters killed by confused monsters, but not from those killed while confused.
- Target may remain confused after expiry until its next AI check.
- Friendly auras and buffs supplied by players and allies do not apply to confused monsters, although hostile auras and debuffs still apply.
- Friendly Aura Enchanted Unique monster auras and buffs which have not expired still apply to confused monsters, but now so do hostile monster auras and buffs: confused monsters can be cursed, which may overwrite Confuse.
- Cannot be overwritten by the following:
- Also cannot be overwritten by itself: once a monster is confused, Confuse must expire before it can be confused again. [1]
