Missiles pierce so they can damage multiple targets, but since they are size 1 they have a very narrow path. Aiming at a distant point rather than selecting a target is recommended to ensure the path of the missiles takes them through as many targets in between as possible. Range increases by 2 yards every 4 skill levels. Faster Cast Rate won't shorten the beginning or end of the cast animation: their length is fixed. A single click results in a 15 frame animation; missiles start firing in the eleventh frame, so after casting continuously there will be four frames before the next action can be initiated.
