Many ideas gleaned from Elitist Jerks Aran thread.

Observed Problem: Lower raid DPS than Monday.

Details: Monday - 3.7 mil dmg over 16 minutes (~3,800 raid DPS). Thursday - 3.8 mil dmg over 24 minutes (~2,600 raid DPS)

Solution 1: Bring more DPS classes (esp. melee dps). Buff remaining healers up the frikkin wazoo & help them improve any weak gear slots.

Solution 2: Plan on stopping dps at 42% to intentionally trigger sheep before elementals.

Solution 3: Have warlock be sure to keep up curse of recklessness and fairie fire in addition to 5 sunders.

Observed Problem: Players dying early to Aran damage with 3 heal spec healers and and offspec healer healing.

Solution 1: Wear more stamina to give healers time to react. 8k unbuffed preferred.

Solution 2: Bring a priest for fort & PW:S

Solution 3: Interrupt more

Solution 4: Bring even more healers (not reccomended)

Observed Problem: More % of Aran's damage from interruptable sources on Thursday than Monday.

Details: Monday - arcane missles 43% of Aran's outgoing damage. Thursday - arcane missles 28% of Aran's outgoing damage.

Solution 1: Possible misinterpretation of data due to the damage spell after sheep skewing Thursday #s.

Solution 2: Mage counterspell on pull, after arcane explosions (i.e. when melee is out of range)

Solution 3: Warlock keep felhunter out to do his thing (this might be a tip for elementals)

Observed Problem: Aran moving from his center position, causing lost melee DPS.

Solution 1: Have tank output higher threat (Bear druid in cat gear).

Solution 2: Blessing of salvation on ranged DPS.

Observed Problem: People dying for stupid reasons while elementals are up (flame wreath, blizz related deaths).

Solution 1: Don't panic. Assign a few individuals to deal with elementals, and intstruct others ignore elementals and keep doing their jobs.

Solution 2: Experience. Telling people to L2P.

Observed Problem: Raid getting sheeped while Elementals are up.

Solution 1: Bring enough dps & interrupts so there is no sheep.

Solution 2: If sheep is inevitable, stop DPS (but continue interrupts) at 42% life and let him do sheep before triggering elementals.

Observed Problem: Elementals coming up during Flame Wreath.

Solution 1: Pause DPS briefly at 42% health to make sure most recent Big Spell is managable (blizz with people positioned well or arcane explosion). Kind of like pausing dps to avoid bad Nef calls.

Observed Problem: Elementals killing people.

Solution 1: Frost resistance. Frost protection potions.

Solution 2: Bring 2 Warlocks. GG.

Solution 3: 1 Warlock banishing 1, chain fearing another. Offtank on 3rd & 4th with some frost resist gear. (preferred)

Solution 3: 1 Warlock as above, raid kills 1 elemental right away. Deal with damage from 4th.

Solution 4: Curse of Tongues on non-CC'd elementals ASAP.

Solution 5: Grounding totems?

Observed Problem: Healer disconnecting mid-fight

Solution 1: New ISP

Solution 2: New computer / more RAM.

Solution 3: Defrag, optimize mods, pray.

Observed Problem: Pulling Aran before the raid is ready.

Solution 1: L2P. ;-)
