The Golden Bird

Objective

Recover the Golden Bird

General Notes

Any of the unique monsters in Act III can drop this item. Be careful, though, if you end up killing one of the flying ones over water - it may get 'dropped,' but you'll never see it because it got dropped in the water, where it can't be dropped. It's a small bug. You'll not be able to find another one in the same game, so make a new one if you want it right then and there. Only one of these quest rewards are allowed per character per difficulty.

The Blade of the Old Religion

Objective

Recover the Gidbinn.

General Notes

There's a clickable pyre somewhere in the Flayer Jungle, called "The Gidbinn." You'll need to activate it to summon a Unique Flayer, who will drop the blade when you kill him.

Quest Reward

A rare or magic ring from Ormus.

Khalim's Will

Objective

Find the body parts and create from them Khalim's Will.

General Notes

This quest spans the entire Act. The Eye can be found in the Spider Cavern, located in the Spider Forest; the Brain can be found in the third floor Flayer Dungeon, in the Flayer Jungle; the Heart can be found on the second level of the Sewers, which has entrances spread througout the three Bazaars. The Flail can be found by defeating the Council in the Travincal. One of the members drops it when they die.

Khalim's Will. Use Khalim's Will to smash the Compelling Orb.

Lam Esen's Tome

Objective

Find the Black Book, located in one of the 6 temples located throughout Kurast, and return it to Alkor.

General Notes

The Black Book is found in the Ruined Temple in the Kurast Bazaar. It is guarded by Battlemaid Sarina, a unique Flesh Hunter, who spawns with a very large pack. The 6 temples in Kurast are also the only location where a monster immune to the Paladin's Blessed Hammer skill can spawn.

The Blackened Temple

Objective

Kill the Council and smash the Compelling Orb.

General Notes

The Council are found right beside the Orb - the Orb can be smashed by using Khalim's Will. The Council numbers a fair many and uses elemental attacks for support in the form of Hydras.

Quest Reward

Entrance to the Durance of Hate.

The Guardian

Objective

Kill Mephisto.

General Notes

Mephisto can be found on the third level of the Durance of Hate. He has cold attacks, so be careful if you have to go toe-to-toe with him.

Quest Reward

Quest drop if the player landing the killing blow needs the quest. Opens a portal to Act IV.
