Quests are non-random tasks that can either push the storyline, or be optional to do. You will recognize a NPC with a Quest by a yellow or purple ! or a ? above their heads. If the color is purple, it is a a storyline quest, otherwise it is an optional quest. NPC's will make it worth your while if you help them out by rewarding you with items or experience.
