This is intended to supplement the manual and Arreat Summit, the official site, and it may be assumed that the reader is familiar with these. Any information quoted from the AS will be in Template:D2:Quote.

Unless stated otherwise, all information is for single-player and Ladder games of the current patch (1.12) of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

Diablo 2 is an intricate game with many facets. This section acts as a guide for those new to the game, or anyone wanting to learn about portions of the game they are unfamiliar with.



Classes

Diablo II began with five classes (Amazon, Barbarian, Necromancer, Paladin and Sorceress) and Lord of Destruction added two more (Assassin and Druid). Each class has 3 unique skill trees, each with 10 skills, as well as class-specific items and bonuses. Information about each class and their skills as well as strategy and guides can be found in the following sections:
