Welcome to the Amazon Basin's Diablo 2 Wiki! Curious about what this is and how to use it? Then check out the WikiFAQ. Curious about the AB? Then check out our Welcome Mat.

This is intended to supplement the manual and Arreat Summit, the official site, and it may be assumed that the reader is familiar with these. Any information quoted from the AS will be in Template:AS text.

Unless stated otherwise, all information is for single-player and Ladder games of the current patch (1.12) of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

However, things are still under construction. You yourself may also add or edit content after registering, logging in and clicking the edit link at the top of the page or the side of a section.

Note to all contributors: as it says at the bottom of the edit screen, do not reprint anybody's work but your own without getting prior permission from the author. If you would like something included but you cannot reach the author, put in a link to the original forum topic instead.

About the game

Diablo 2 is the sequel to the highly popular Diablo (1996). Many players consider it to be a "hack and slash" styled role playing game (RPG).

Blizzard North released Diablo II version 1.0 on <date>. Blizzard released the Lord of Destruction expansion pack with version 1.07 on 29 June, 2000. In addition to adding a significant amount of content with the expansion pack, Blizzard also made several game-altering patches (notably 1.09 and 1.10) which added items, changed game balance, modified game mechanics, and brought a new feel with these changes. All of these updates are under their free <Battle.net> on-line gaming service.

Game-play

Diablo 2 is an intricate game with many facets. This section acts as a guide for those new to the game, or anyone wanting to learn about portions of the game they are unfamiliar with.

Classes

Diablo II began with five classes (Amazon, Barbarian, Necromancer, Paladin and Sorceress) and Lord of Destruction added two more (Assassin and Druid). Each class has 3 unique skill trees, each with 10 skills, as well as class-specific items and bonuses. Information about each class and their skills as well as strategy and guides can be found in the following sections:
