Improved Fireball 5 points
Reduces the casting time of your Fireball by 0.1 seconds per point.
Leads into Pyroblast a popular fire pick, and a great talent for any mage that expects to cast fireball.

Impact 5 points
Gives your fire spells a 2% chance per point to stun the target for 2 seconds.
An alright PvE skill, but pretty powerful in PvP. Diminishing returns on stuns can make it worthless at times.

Improved Fire Blast 5 points
Reduces the cooldown of your Fire Blast spell by (0.5/0.8/1.0/1.3/1.5) seconds.
A good skill, but unless you go heavy fire you can probably find something more valuable. Only really of much use in PvP.

Flame Throwing 2 points
Increases the range of your fire spells by 3 yards per point.
Pretty nice to get 6 more yards on your fireblast. Not useful in up close combat.

Ignite 5 points
Your critical strikes from fire damage spells cause the target to burn for an additional 8% per point of your spell's damage over 4 seconds.
Must get fire talent. Takes it from a normal spell crit of +50% damage to +90% damage on a crit. Becoming dispellable in patch 1.6

Incinerate 2 points
Increases the critical strike chance of your Fire Blast and Scorch spells by 2% per point.
Great 2 point talent. Increasing crit chance on 2 of your most used spells is nice.

Pyroblast 1 point
Hurls an immense fiery boulder that causes 148 to 195 fire damage and an additional 56 damage over 12 seconds.
Useful pulling/PoM skill. However if you don't want to get improved fireball you can live without this. Sheep/Fireball/PoM-Pyro/FireBlast/Cone of Cold can stack up alot of damage in a short time.

Improved Flamestrike 3 points
Increases the critical strike chance of your Flamestrike spell by 15%.
It's a healthy boost to crit, but only get this if you really want Blast Wave.

Burning Soul 3 points
Gives your fire spells a (25%/50%/65%) chance to not lose casting time when you take damage.
Great skill if you plan on getting hit a great deal. In PvP this circumstance may happen quite a bit.

'Improved Scorch 5 points
Your Scorch spells have a 100% chance to cause your target to be vulnerable to Fire damage. This vulnerability increases the Fire damage dealt to your target by 2% and lasts 15 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times.
A nice boost to scorch. This Talent now works very similarly to the Priest's Shadow Weaving. Stackable damage boosts on a fast casting spel..

Improved Fire Ward 2 points
Causes your fire ward to reflect 35% of the damage absorbed back to the caster.
Every talent tree has a lemon, here is the one for the Fire tree. Don't waste your talent points.

Blast Wave 1 point
A wave of flame radiates outward from the caster, damaging all enemies caught within the blast for 160 to 192 fire damage, and dazing them for 6 seconds.
This is a nice spell to get. Gives you an extra chunk of damage each fight. The 45 second cooldown can be prohibitive and should be considered. Blastwave plus Imp Arcane Explosion can do some serious damage in Alterac Valley.

Critical Mass 3 points
Increases the critical strike chance of your fire spells by 2% per point.
Fire has some potent crits and more of them for all your fire spells is amazing. I would never pass on this talent if I got this high in the tree.

Fire Power 5 points
Increases the damage done by your fire spells by 2% per point.
If you are getting 30 fire, don't pass this up. It's one of the best talents in the tree and is at the top for a reason. Nice boost to all your nukes.

Combustion 1 point
When activated, this spell gives your next fire damage spell a 100% critical strike chance.
Being able to crit on that pyro that you really need to crit can be an enormous advantage. Presence of Mind in Arcane is a more versatile talent with a faster cooldown, however combustion is very fun.
