Barbarians who have quested with the mighty Bear Tribe are masters of the Mace. From simple wooden clubs to the contemporary, armor-defeating flanged mace, warrior masters wield these weapons to devastating effect. As the Bear shaman, Koth, said to those who favor the sword and axe, "When you are beset by hordes of the walking dead, do not come weeping to me if you have turned away from the wisdom of Bear."

• When equipping a mace or staff class weapon, enhances attack damage and attack rating with chance of critical strike doubling physical attack damage. Since conversion of physical damage to another damage type occurs after it is applied, it can also double the converted damage of Berserk (both the skill itself and its synergy bonus to Concentrate and Frenzy).
• Overlay normally displayed when successful may be obscured by others (which gave rise to the myth that poison damage prevents it from being applied).

• Applies when equipping any of the following:
  • Club
  • Hammer
  • Mace
  • Scepter
  • Staff
  • Wand
• Mastery critical strike does not apply when using Sacrifice charges.
• Mastery critical strike is mutually exclusive with Critical Strike and Deadly Strike: if one is successful then the others aren't applied. Combined % chance of double physical attack damage is as follows:
