Create an alternate character and get it to level 5, and then mail it all the belts you make, which you can disenchant, mostly into dream dust, an average of 3 each time, and then sell or use. I suggest you don't do this until 52 or so, when you can grind the first farm in western plaguelands for runecloth. Done this way, it costs 45s (1 rune thread bought at honored faction), and the results more than pay for themselves.

===Leveling cheaply past 255===

255 Skill - [http://www.thottbot.com/?s=runecloth+belt Runecloth Belt]

Again, I disenchanted this. I only did this pattern because I mined the gold myself, but if you don't spend too much on gold bars, this is another cheap pattern, and I made 300 by making 26 of these.

(Note: You CAN level to 300 doing mooncloth if you want to. It only takes 200 days at minimum.)

I ([[Nvts]]) always liked to kill humanoids due to them not dropping as much ‘sell loot’ and almost solely cloth, coin, and magic items. I would look for mobs to kill on Thott, but it was always annoying to do, due to the huge amount of low drop % mobs that is within the data. Now that I have a tailor, I have even more reason to hunt cloth dropping mobs.
I took all of the Linen, Silk, Mageweave, and Runcloth drops from Thottbot. In theory, the ones killed the most either were easiest to kill, popped fast, or some other reason to let them get killed often. I took the first five or six pages of most killed mobs per type and copied it into excel.
I removed all Elites, Chests and such, and instance mobs. I then removed all the lower % drops ( typically under 10% )This should leave me with the most killed, highest rate of cloth drops.

I added in a highlight for drop rates over 40%, and split it into a couple categories due to the Wiki not liking large tables. I made a table for each continent as well.
