Background

The Templar are the followers of the ancient rites and rituals of the Knights Templar whose writings and disciplines foresaw the demonic invasion centuries ago. Since the Dark Ages their order has been prepared for this apocalypse, training in the ways of holy magic and organizing their followers for the eventual war against the forces of Hell.

Templar are the true believers, the keepers of the faith, and the destroyers of evil. They are extremely organized and regimented, their centuries of preparation giving them the best basic footing for waging war against the demons. They also control and defend the London Underground, which serves as mankind’s sanctuary. Templar utilize the basic military model of the secular world. Their ability to achieve discipline and uniformity, however, is what sets them apart. They have a clear separation within their hierarchy when dealing with societal administration and battle, and their chain of command is clear and strictly adhered to, making them extremely effective when fighting in groups.

Slam: The Templar rises high above the minions of darkness and brings down the heavy hand of the heavens.; Requirement: Sword; Effect: +200% damage, +10% / level; Cost: 5 Power

Spring: Spurred on by divine determination, the running speed of the Templar is greatly increased for a short amount of time.; Cost: 10 Power, -3 / level

Sweep: The righteous vengeance of the Templar is channeled into a whirling attack that strikes any foes within melee range.; Effect: +75% damage, +5% / level; Requirement: Sword; Cost: 5 Power

Holy Auras

Area of effect skills improving the Templar's offensive and defensive abilities alike by affecting the surroundings.

Aura of Renewal: Through meditation and the channeling of divine energy the natural healing abilities of the Templar are greatly increased.; Effect: Increased regeneration based on the number of enemies in the area of effect.; Upkeep: 30 Power, -1 / level

Aura of Sacred Winds: This appeal calls upon the divine spirits to turn aside some ranged attacks that enter into the Templar’s Holy Aura.; Upkeep: 25 Power

Fire Aura: By channeling the flames of eternal vigilance, the amount of Fire damage caused by the Templar increases.; Effect: Increased fire damage based on the number of enemies in the area of effect.; Upkeep: 20 Power

Grand Aura: Vigilance in studying the tactics of the demons increases the radius of the Templar’s Holy Aura by 15% per level.; Effect: +15% Holy Aura radius / level

Power Aura: As a Templar places themselves in greater danger, their increasing faith fuels their power.; Effect: Increased regeneration based on the number of enemies in the area of effect.; Upkeep: 30 Power, -5 / level

Invocation

Skills to increase the combat efficiency for the Templar.

Challenge: Draws enemies within the Templar’s Holy Aura into melee range and decreases the damage that they do.; Effect: 25% damage per level; Cost: 25 Power

Flurry Boost: This chant conveys a boost to the Templar’s melee attack speed.; Effect: Increases speed by 30% for 5 seconds, +10% / level; Cost: 40 Power

Shield of Faith: This prayer grants a 15 second boost to the Templar's total amount of shields.; Requirement: Sword; Effect: +50 Shields, +25 / level; Cost: 40 Power

Whirlwind: The Templar unleashes his righteous fury and becomes a spinning whirlwind of doom for 4 seconds.; Requirement: Sword; Shift Skill: Press Shift when target is in range.; Cost: 40 Power
